The title probably doesn't have much to do with this post. I am kind of just rambling. A friend of my was discussing the idea of thoughts being like spitting—swish swish means you're holding back or just musing but not acting, spit means blurting your idea no matter how stupid it may seem.
Today, my theatre class had an industry professional coming down from Toronto/High Park to talk Shakespeare with us and it was wonderful. Firstly, he was charismatic and charming. Had he shared his surname, I'd probably be plugging him and/or his site shamelessly.
He was fantastic. Energetic, knowledgeable, kind, and matter-of-fact without seeming condescending. He knew what he was talking about: phonetics, pentameter, heart, and a little boat of words on a sea of emotion. The sea is the defining aspect of your journey, not the words under which it rests. Genius stuff, really.
I'd also like to point out that while kittens are great, dogs are better.
Regardless of how you feel about puppies and kittens, there should be no debate between cats and dogs: A fully grown cat is like that really weird kid in high school. It keeps to itself, treats any effort on your part to befriend it with contempt, and thinks it's better than you even though it smells like cat piss and shits in a box. Dogs still love you when they're fully grown, just as much as when they were puppies. Dogs rule.
